This original Fuel Injected 911 is nearing completion of an extensive restoration in our own facility and now offered for sale. 1969 was an interesting year for the Porsche 911. in this year the first major overhaul of the legendary 911 took place! To improve handling the wheelbase was lenghtened by 2.4 inches, the front and rear wheel arches were slightly flared to accomodate wider wheels and tires. Heater and vetilation systems were revised, with a 3 speed blower fan installed and the vent windows being fixed. The single 45 Amp battery was replaced by twin 12 Volt 35 Amp batteries mounted in each fender in front of the front wheels to increase handling balance. As the T this E was equipped with the more comfortable 14" Fuchs wheels for better cruising. Only on the 911E Porsche mounted Boge self leveling hydropneumatic struts that replaced the front torsion bars, however this ill-fated experiment was prone to leaks and collapses and abandoned in the 1970 model year. During our restoration it was only logical that we converted this 911E back to the conventional suspension and added an original front sway bar. Restoration started on a rust free and accident free body on which no welding was needed. Engine and transmission, as well as the Fuel Injection were also completely and professionally rebuilt in our own shop. All parts used were OEM Porsche whenever possible. The paint is the original color sand beige, code 6807. Professionally painted in our own body shop from bare metal. Base/clearcoat Dupont.
